Over 86% who booked a Saltmine Christmas production last year thought it provided an excellent outreach event for their community.

Three Wise Men and a Baby By David Robinson - Saltmine Theatre Company
Three Wise Men and a Baby has delighted audiences of all ages across the country in its two national tours. It charts the lives of Eric, Doreen and Brian as they attempt to stage an all-singing, all-dancing Christmas musical whilst struggling with their own lack of talent and their director, Marjorie, and her obsession with bringing a live camel onto the stage. It’s a hilarious extravaganza of a show that will have you laughing, crying and carolling along!

An Angel’s Delight - Saltmine Theatre Company
By David Robinson - a sequel to his hilarious festive comedy, Three Wise Men and a Baby
St Mary’s Literary Society is at it again! This time their over-ambitious director, Marjorie Lockwood, is convinced the journey of the shepherds is in need of some Broadway razzamatazz. Not the natural place you might think to find Eric, the vicar, his wife Doreen and faithful church treasurer, Brian Shepherd. But they don their tea towels, grab a shepherds’ crook, put on their tap shoes and head for the hills. The result is a mixture of seasonal fun, festive music and unbelievable routines…a real Christmas treat for everyone.

Robin Hood – Merry Christmas Merry Men! - Red Balloon Theatre Company
King Richard is away. The sheriff of Nottingham is angry. The people are starving and Robin Hood has stolen a reindeer!! An act punishable by death, Robin is forced into the forest where he and his band of trusty followers must steal to survive. Can Robin endure the winter? Can the sheriff catch up with Robin and where is King Richard anyway? It looks like it is going to be a sad sorry Christmas in Sherwood this year unless somebody does something! Never fear… with Robin Hood on the case, it should still be a merry Christmas, merry men!
