Associate team member Liz Allen, a member of Sutton Coldfield Baptist Church, who is trained in general nursing and midwifery, and also runs her own business facilitating leadership development in the NHS, has taken responsibility for a range of health initiatives in Bulgaria.

These include clinics providing health screening for those who can not normally afford to go to the doctor, training for health professionals - a recent conference was teaching modern rehabilitation practice for older people and young adults with physical and learning disabilities. Delegates were encouraged to consider the ‘whole person’ – body, mind and spirit – all part of an on-going development programme.

Sufficient funds have been raised to provide a mobile dental unit for the villages and Institutions around Sliven and for a dental surgery within the 2^nd Baptist Church, Varna. Fund raising continues for the mobile dental unit to serve the villages around Sofia.
